WEEKEND ROUND-UP

On Friday we were pleased to announce the signing of 17 year old Jordan Goater from Basingstoke Town on a dual registration. We welcomed Jordan to the club and he was added to the 1st team squad at Laverstock & Ford on Saturday.

This was billed as a big match against the current league leaders and it didn't disappoint. After conceding the first goal we went on a first half rampage with five goals being knocked in before the break with some excellent football. Paul Coventry and two apiece from Danny Vickers & Sam Hamilton saw us take a 5-1 half time lead. The second half didn't go our way for a variety of reasons, but needless to say we held on with ten men to win the match 6-5. Sam Hamilton completed his hat-trick which secured the points but, we must also give a special mention to Scott Kinge who took over in goal after Kieran Greene's dismissal.

We are hoping to announce a couple of new exciting signings later in the week.

The Reserves put up a good performance against a physical Alresford Town at home on Saturday, but unfortunately went down 3-1. Adam Bartlett was again on the score sheet. It was a sore one to take as we lost the third goal late in the game as we chased the equaliser.

The 'A' team got back winning ways on Saturday with a resounding 8-1 win over CK Andover at Barlow's Park in the North Hants May Cup. Four goals from Kye Theodore and one apiece from Gary Hibbs, Stephen Burgess, Callum Sweeney and Luke Allaston respectively takes us into the next round.
