Match Report: Tadley Calleva vs Alton

After a fantastic 2-1 win on Saturday, Danny Dolan and his side were looking to build on that win. Alton were the visitors and Tadley had managed to beat them 6-1 last season so were looking for more of the same. This time the fixture was in the North Hampshire Senior Cup Quarter Final and Tadley were looking to progress to the Semi Finals. Tadley started well with an early free kick and corner but they were both defended well by the away side. Alton then had successive corners and on the second, the ball managed to get to Matt Bunyan who beat Sean O'Brien to put Alton one nil up. Tadley had no need to worry though as they still had 85 minutes to get a goal back. There was almost an instant

Match Report: Tadley Calleva vs Shaftsbury

Shaftsbury were the visitors to Barlow’s Park as they faced a Tadley side looking to make it two home wins in a row. The conditions weren’t great as there was a strong wind but this didn’t affect the chances in this game. It only took seven minutes for the first shot of the game and it fell Shaftsbury’s way as they shot from just outside the area but Freddie Gee took it into his grasp well. Shortly after, Tadley won a free kick on the edge of the Shaftsbury 18-yard box. New signing Luke Neller took the free kick and struck it well. The ball flew past the wall and the goalkeeper got a hand to it but the shot was too powerful for Hill in the Shaftsbury goal. Neller had made an instant impact o

Match Report: Horndean vs Tadley Calleva

Tadley Calleva were looking to build on Tadley’s 2-1 win over Hamble Club on Saturday as they travelled down to Horndean. The first goal was a repeat of Saturday’s as Glasspool took a free kick for Horndean and scored. The free kick from the near right corner had managed to beat Sean O’Brien giving Horndean the lead after only 13 minutes. There was almost an instant reply for the away side as a superb free kick from Andrew Charsley was parried onto the post by Ross Casey. In the 36th minute, there were appeals for a penalty in favour of Tadley as what looked like a blatant handball wasn’t given. Six minutes later, Charsley was in the thick of it once again as his shot was kept of the line. H
