Season Preview: 2019/20

After almost 4 months without competitive football, Tadley Calleva are back in competitive action. A lot has happened over the Summer and there have been many changes in lots of areas of the Club. Tomorrow afternoon, new manager Adam Club and his backroom staff, John McFarlane and Harrison Gilkes take control of their first competitive game away to Brockenhurst. This will prove to be a tough test as Brockenhurst finished 15th last season with 47 points. Tadley beat them in this fixture last season thanks to a wonder goal from Sam Hamilton but lost the home fixture 3-1. Manager Pre-Season Update

As the season is now upon us, I would like to give everyone a summary of our pre - season. It is public knowledge that we lost a lot of players after the previous manager, Danny Dolan, departed the football club. This was to be expected to some degree, so the rebuilding process over the summer was going to be vital. After our first game at Romsey Town it was clear to see that we had a lot to do. I’m delighted with the work that we have been able to do so far in recruiting players for the season ahead. At the last time of counting, we had lost 11 players which left a huge void in the squad. New Signings Confirmed

Last night via social media the club confirmed the following new player signings for the 2019/20 season: Jack Martin (GK) - Jack join’s us with previous experience with Weymouth in the Southern Premier League last season. While Jack’s opportunities were limited, he was on the bench for a lot of the games and gained vital experience in their promotion winning season. At only 17, he has represented England at schoolboy collage level and will definitely be one to watch for the future.
