Tadley Calleva 2018 Review

As the year draws to a close, we look back on what has been a hugely successful calendar year for Tadley Calleva. After promotion from the Sydenhams Wessex Division 1 in May, Tadley have made a strong start to their inaugural season in the Sydenhams Wessex Premier Division. Tadley started the year strong with an emphatic 6-1 win over Alton, with Brett Denham scoring four. To finish of the year, Danny Dolan’s men faced Shaftsbury losing 3-1. Denham scored the last goal for Tadley in 2018 and will be looking to continue this into 2019. The highest win of the year came back in March as Tadley beat Ringwood Town 7-0. Match Report: Tadley Calleva Hold Sholing to End Their Winning Streak

After a two week break due to postponements, Tadley played their final home game of 2018 against the table-toppers Sholing who were on a 16 game winning streak in the league. Tadley were without captain Shaun Dallimore, midfielder Danny Vickers and top goalscorer Brett Denham so had a few notable absences. After only nine minutes. Freddie Gee was called into action very early as he had to save Lee Wort’s header. Gee was then called into action in the 13thminute as he made fantastic saves against Mason and Cuthbertson.
