Penalty shoot out misery for Tadley in FA Vase
In a generally scrappy first round FA Vase tie, Tadley paid the price for not closing out the game and not adding to the scoreline after a 48 minute wonder strike by Ben Wright. A Guildford equaliser on 80 minutes brought the tie to a penalty shootout, ending Tadleys FA Vase run. Stalemate at Springfield Stadium
Tadley gained a value away point at the weekend as they made the journey over the channel islands to face an inform Jersey Bulls side with 5 wins from 6 in the league. Backed by some 40 travelling fans, Tadley were able to frustrate the hosts in large parts of the game and stay resillient, with some fantastic individual defensive performances, in the final moments as The Bulls threw everything into finding a late winner. Two Excellent Goals in Tadley Win
Two fine goals from dead ball strikes saw Tadley Calleva beat bottom club Banstead Athletic who scored a good goal themselves in a generally poor game.
