Following Tadley-Calleva reserves Hampshire Senior Trophy win on Tuesday 13th May 2025, it was confirmed that reserve team manager Ashley Saudners was to step down from his role as manager.
Saunders, who was a regular for both Tadley-Calleva Reserves & A team in his playing days, brought his Basingstoke Sunday Division One side Tadley-Tigers under the Tadley-Calleva umbrella for the 2021/22 season. Saunders guided his side to an unbeaten Basingstoke League title alongside the Basingstoke Saturday Junior Cup, Peter Raynbird Cup & the North Hampshire Cup.
A quadruple debut season.
The following season, Saunders young side retained the Peter Raynbird Cup but missed out on the league title by just two points to local rivals Silchester Village.
2023/24 saw the move from BDFL to Thames Valley Premier league, leaving behind junior football to enter the pyramid feeder leagues.
Going straight into Division One, Saunders led his new look side to the title, securing promotion to the Premier Division at the first attemp & losing jsut once in the league campaign.
The 2024/25 season saw step 7 football for the first time for alot of the squad and they adapted well, finishing in a respectable sixth place & winning yet another trophy, one that had eluded Saunders since taking the regins of this squad.
A Hampshire cup win to sign off as manager completes the set.

Tadley-Calleva would like to thank Ash for his tremendously hard work for both the team, and the club during his tenure and wish him all the best for the future.
We will not be taking applications for the reseves manager role at this point.
