Firstly, A Happy New Year to all our supporters and followers from everyone at the club,

The first team's last two matches have seen a barrage of goals. First up we hosted Alton on the opening game of 2018 and a 6-1 win was no more than we deserved after conceding an early penalty. Four goals from striker Brett Denham and one apiece for Paul Coventry and Darryl Phillips saw us take all three points and move to the top of the table.

We followed this up with an impressive 5-1 away win at New Milton Town. Never an easy place to go, but goals from the in-form Brett Denham (2), Sam Hamilton (2) and Darryl Phillips were more than enough to hold on to the top spot. Our next match is a top of the table clash at home to Andover New Street on Saturday - be good to see a big support for this one!

The Reserves have also had a good spell lately. They opened 2018 with North Hants Senior Cup tie at home to Overton United, but unfortunately, when leading 2-0 though a Jordan Holmes double, the match was abandoned due to floodlight failure. Thankfully this has now been rectified.

The following Saturday a 2-0 home win over Folland Sports with goals from Archie Fawcett and Jordan Holmes were enough to consolidate a mid-table position in the Wyvern Combination League.

Our A side suffered disappointment in their Hampshire Junior Cup tie going out 4-3 at the hands of Athletico Romsey. Goals from Jack Jones (2) and Stephen Burgess not enough on the day.
