Dillon Returns to the Dugout

Tadley-Calleva Football Club are pleased to finally announce that Ben DIllon has returned to his post as Joint First Team Manager after a period away from the club.

Over the past 5 weeks, Ben has been back in the dugout to support the management team but we are delighted that Ben will return to his previous role, alongside Joe Lawler as joint manager. Dillon stepped away from his role at the start of the current season (2023/24) due to work and family commitments, but now has the opportunity to re-commit his time to the club and help drive his side forward as we enter 2024.

When asked about his transition back into the fold, Dillon stated ' I am happy to be back, and we currently sit where we deserve to be. We've picked up where we left off when I stepped away and it's been a smooth transition.'

Tadley set their sights on one of four play off places at the start of the current season and Dillon believes this is still a very realistic target. ' We play in a certain way and we will always maintain that. As a whole we are where we need to be at this stage. We have games in hand & winning those takes us to the play-off positions, it's where every club wants to be. It's all in our hands.'

During the interview, Dillon touched on the youthfulness of the squad and identifying players that fit the brand of footall that he and Lawler have implemented during their reign at Barlows Park. ' We've signed players that suit our style of football, players that are hungry for success and players that want to learn and I think we're starting to see the benefits of that'

The Joint Manager is under no illusion however, highlighting the challenges that Tadley-Calleva face in the second half of the season from both and opponent & fixture congestion perspective with some important fixtures coming up in the very near future.

On a final note, Dillon expressed his happiness to be back at a club where the environment allows himself and the team thrive. 'As a player I loved playing at Tadley and now as a manager, nothing has changed. I wanted to get back amognst it at the club and I'm excited to get stuck in again'

All at Tadley-Calleva Football Club are delighted to have Ben back on board a we enter a pivotal few months of the 2023/24 season.
