Reserves Management Confident Ahead of Season Opener

Tadley-Calleva Reserves begin their Thames Valley Premier League Division 1 campaign on Saturday at home to Woodley United Reserves.

The management structure of brothers Cameron & Alex George alongside Scott Senior make their competitive debut in the dugout for the club and are looking ahead to what proves to be an exciting season both on and off the pitch.

In the run up to Saturday, Cameron George had the following to say about his current squad.

' We have a really good selection of players available to us for the season ahead. They are keen to work with us and share our ambitions, both short and long term. Short term being to be in contention for promotion to the Thames Valley Premier Division.

A standout for us in Pre-Season is Thiago who we are sure will bring many goals this season'

There is one slight injury concern for the weekend with captain Kieron Farmer however management are confident he will lead his team out for the season opener.

Cameron went on to say 'the last 2 friendlies have been really good, coming out with 2 wins and scoring 12 goals. This gives us great confidence going forward. We held our final pre-season training session last night which was high in both quality and morale. We are ready to get going with a good feeling throughout the squad'

The reserves host Woodley United Reserves at Barlows Park on Saturday 17th in a 2pm kick off. It would be great to see those unable to make the journey to Guildford to support the side in their first competitive fixture.
