Saunders Departs Barlows Park

Tadley-Calleva FC have today announced that versatile youngster Alfie Saunders has departed Barlows Park and signed a deal with Vanarama National League South side Farnborough FC. Last season, Saunders spent 2 months on loan with Farnborough last season and made quite the impression, helping 'Boro to 8 wins before being recalled by parent club Aldershot, with whom he made 16 first team appearances in the Vanarama National League.

In the brief spell that Alfie was at Barlows Park he inspired some fantastic performances, scoring 2 goals and captaining the side in their 4-2 win in the Hampshire Senior Cup.

Chairman Sandy Russell said ''I’ve only known this young man for a short period of time. He is a top player and a top lad and we were lucky to have him at the club. I’m sure he’ll go far in the game and I wish him nothing but the best''

These thoughts were echoed by Danny Dolan who passed on the following message to Alfie ''This young man has bright future go smash it Alfie keep climbing those leagues from everybody at Tadley-Calleva FC''

There is no doubt Alfie will hit the ground running at Farnborough and we look forward to watching his progress throughout their 2022/23 campaign and beyond.

Good luck, Alfie.
